Venus’ recent retrograde and the New Venus Cycle
Venus has been in Aries from February 4 to March 27 and her recent retrograde began on March 1, at 10º of Aries. For the past weeks, we have been on a journey of redefining our values, restructuring our financial habits, and reevaluating the way we show up in all our relationships.
In Aries, retrograde Venus has highlighted the importance of embracing radical self-love and prioritizing ourselves and our desires, while making sure we are aware of the impact of our actions and decisions on others. This transit has been an opportunity to challenge outdated narratives about relationships, money, and wealth, and reorient according to our true values.
On March 22, retrograde Venus purified herself in the heart of the Sun and a new Venus Cycle started. After her descent into the underworld, Venus rose again as a Morning Star on March 26, carrying with her the wisdom and the lessons she learned there. Now that Venus is stationary direct, this internal process can be externalized: we are being asked to apply the lessons learned in the past weeks and make adjustments accordingly.
Venus direct in Pisces: Wisdom of the Heart
Venus’ shift of motion and beginning of the post-shadow phase invites us to make changes in our external reality that honor the inner transformation that took place during the retrograde and Venus’ underworld journey. The resolution of unresolved themes that have been unfolding for the past weeks is likely, and Venus moving direct will help us feel clearer about the meaning and purpose of everything that has taken place. This is a time to embody the wisdom gained during the retrograde and allow it to guide us forward.
In Pisces, Venus softens rigid boundaries and invites us to approach life with more compassion, creativity, and emotional openness. However, with the transition from retrograde to direct motion, there is a need to stay discerning and ensure we are not slipping back into illusions or idealized versions of reality. Venus in Pisces teaches us that love is not about losing ourselves in another but about deepening our connection with what is True and being devoted to honoring it.
Venus’ remaining time in Pisces asks us to trust divine timing and surrender the need for control. Rather than forcing outcomes, we are invited to allow love, creativity, and inspiration to flow organically, honor the wisdom of the heart, and deepen our compassion toward both ourselves and others.
Venus conjunct Saturn, the North Node, and Mercury
Venus stations direct while conjunct with Saturn, the North Node, and Mercury in Pisces, as well as Neptune in Aries. The conjunction with Saturn helps us stay grounded amidst the ethereal Pisces energy. This alignment urges us to deepen our commitment to what is valuable to us and take responsibility for making necessary changes. The Venus-Saturn conjunction invites discernment and common sense, particularly in romantic and financial matters, and offers us an opportunity to recognize and tend to insecurities, self-doubt, and feelings of low self-worth that may emerge around this time.
The activation of the North Node in Pisces underlines the karmic and evolutionary significance of this moment, suggesting that the choices we make now, particularly in love, relationships, and monetary matters, will have relevant implications for our personal and spiritual growth.
Meanwhile, the conjunction with Mercury, which recently stationed direct in Pisces too, continues to emphasize the importance of communication and invites us to express our feelings, needs, and desires with honesty and clarity. Mercury and Venus have been traveling together for weeks, and they both began their retrograde in Aries. Now that they are both in direct motion, more information is likely to come to light and more clarity about the meaning of the process we have been through will emerge.
With both Mercury and Venus moving into Aries within days, we will soon feel more confident about the path to take and the direction we are moving toward.
