What is Shadow Work? – Path to Wholeness and Freedom

Shadow work has become a buzzword in New Age and spiritual circles, and it is often misinterpreted or misused. In this article, we will explore what shadow work is and how we can engage in it.

The idea of Shadow was introduced in the early 1900 by Carl Jung, a swiss psychiatrist who revolutionized the field of psychology. Besides developing his own psychoanalytic approach, he explored eastern and western philosophy, mysticism, theology, alchemy, esoterism, and Astrology.

Jung broke new ground on many levels with his work. However, one of the most popular aspects of it probably remains his concept of Shadow.

Carl Jung and the concept of Shadow

According to Carl Jung, the shadow consists of all the unconscious parts of our personality. These, when brought to consciousness, feel threatening, uncomfortable, or completely foreign to the Ego, defined as the conscious part of our personality. Jung pointed out that not only do we have a personal shadow, but we also share a collective shadow, which belongs to the collective unconscious.

Our shadow contains everything we don’t see about ourselves. It’s much easier to observe someone else’s shadow than our own. Our shadow consists of our blind spots, of all those tendencies, qualities, and traits that we have disowned: it’s important to keep in mind that these are not all negative. Our unconscious also contains repressed qualities and positive traits that, for instance, weren’t accepted by our family or culture of origin.

In childhood, we usually develop the tendencies we are praised for and encouraged to express, and we suppress those that aren’t accepted, or that we are judged or shamed for. This phenomenon generates a split in our personality and causes us to disown a part of who we are, which is then relegated into the shadows.

The Shadow and the Phenomenon of Projection

Carl Jung stated that Whatever is rejected from the self, appears in the world as an event.” This sentence illustrates the phenomenon of shadow projection: becoming aware of our projections represents a crucial part of shadow work.

What we disown, what we can’t express, and what we can’t accept in ourselves, tend to appear to us externally. Our projections give us a lot of valuable information about ourselves and our unconscious: they show us traits we inherently possess yet, for some reason, have suppressed, unacknowledged, and disowned. We can project on other people both positive and negative qualities. For instance, we can blame others projecting on them something we would judge and condemn ourselves for, or we can idealize them projecting on them traits we personally admire but don’t feel able to fully express.

Astrology offers us a key to understanding how this phenomenon plays out in our life. All of us tend to project on other people qualities and traits belonging to our Descendant sign, the point opposing our Ascendant or Rising sign. The Descendant rules the 7th Astrological House of the Other, which opposes the 1st House of the Self. The qualities of our Descendant sign and any planets we find in our natal 7th House represent something we feel we lack and, for this reason, something we look for in another. These traits are often mirrored back at us by other people before we learn to see them in ourselves and integrate them.

What is Shadow Work?

As Jung wrote, “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate. Shadow work is precisely the process of making the unconscious conscious. There is no such thing as overcoming our shadow or getting rid of it. However, being aware of it prevents our actions from being driven by energies such as jealousy, envy, anger, hate, evil, greed, or insecurity, and helps us avoid projecting these traits onto others.

Analyzing our triggers and observing our projections without judgment represents key aspects of shadow work. Shadow work implies a commitment to consistently question ourselves to uncover the root causes behind our automatic patterns of behaviors, our reactions, and the repetitive loops we seem to be stuck in. This helps us discover more of our nature, of our psychology, of our true desires and needs.

As we uncover more and more of our unconscious material, we will find that our shadow also contains positive qualities that we suppressed due to the familial, social, cultural, and religious conditioning we have been exposed to. If, for example, when we were children we were taught that anger is bad, we may now struggle to assert ourselves. If, for instance, we were punished or shamed for expressing needs, feelings, and emotions, we may now find it extremely challenging. Shadow work can help us gain awareness of these dynamics, and it can inspire us to reclaim and integrate those traits we suppressed and disowned in the past.

Shadow Work and Astrology

Shadow work can be associated with the archetypes of Scorpio, its modern ruler Pluto, and the 8th Astrological House. Scorpio, Pluto, and the 8th House are connected with the unconscious forces driving our choices and behaviors, with our unconscious emotional attachments, with our secret intentions and motivations, with our repressed desires, our deepest wounds, fears, compulsions, and obsessions.

An emphasis on these archetypes in our natal chart corresponds to a faster evolutionary pace. If our level of consciousness supports it, a prominent natal Pluto, Scorpio, or 8th House leads to an inclination towards deep therapeutic or psychological work and it often corresponds to a stronger desire to uncover what’s in the shadows, to bring to light the unconscious aspects of our psyche. Transits of Pluto, in particular, are famous for speeding up these types of processes, as they catalyze our evolution by forcing us to confront something we have been trying to avoid or we have swept under the rug.

Shadow Work: Path to Wholeness

When we consciously engage in shadow work, we learn how our triggers are our teachers, how what provokes us about other people is pointing at something unresolved within ourselves and giving us a chance to gain more self-awareness.

Central to this journey are radical self-acceptance, self-responsibility, humility, and the willingness to take accountability for all that we are. Our shadow isn’t meant to be defeated or eliminated: we are not supposed to disown or suppress any part of ourselves, whether perceived as positive or negative.

Shadow work is a lifelong journey that can help us access and express our full potential. Familiarizing ourselves with our unconscious, witnessing ourselves as whole beings, and acknowledging the aspects of our personality we split off in the past allows the integration of qualities we weren’t aware of having and can prevent destructive impulses and tendencies from taking over and leading our lives.

Everything is interconnected. Astrology is one of the tools we use here at Moon Omens to access the deepest parts of ourselves. The depths of the Universe within. Lion’s Gate Portal: Collective Initiation

This year, on August 8, we celebrate the peak of the Lion’s Gate Portal 2021 together with a New Moon in Leo. These days are intensely charged, and many of us have been feeling this energetic shift for a while. Read our New Moon in Leo article here.

We are undergoing a powerful initiation: we have been traversing the birth canal, traveling through different gates and rites of passage, and we are now being given an opportunity to start a brand new chapter of our lives, leave the past behind, and set clear intentions for the future.

During these days, pay attention to synchronicities, repeating patterns, messages, and signs from the Universe. Unexpected strikes of luck, karmic encounters, and fated opportunities are possible: make sure to be open to receive what life is offering you.

To celebrate this powerful Lion’s Gate Portal with you we created new 120 pages e-book all about Lion’s Gate Portal. It is completely free for you to download and enjoy, however your donations and support is always appreciated.

The Lion’s Gate Portal and Fixed Star Sirius

The Lion’s Gate is considered to be open between the end of July and the middle of August. Astronomically, it corresponds to the heliacal rising of the fixed star Sirius and its alignment with the Sun.

Sirius is a bright star placed in the constellation of Cancer. Every year, around this time, Sirius becomes visible in the morning sky. In Ancient Egypt, the heliacal rising of Sirius was associated with the flooding of the Nile’s river, which fertilized the fields allowing life to flourish. For them, this was the beginning of the calendar year, a moment of celebration, gratitude, and attunement to the cycles of nature.

From an astronomical standpoint, the heliacal rising of Sirius will take place between August 14 and 15, 2021. However, even if the astronomical event happens on a different day each year, we celebrate the Lion’s Gate peak on 8/8 due to the power of this number in Numerology.

Number 8 symbolizes the empowerment journey of the Soul through the high and lows of life, and it is connected with an emotional, spiritual, and psychological metamorphosis. The energy of number 8 corresponds to ambition, success, and mastery of the physical world: it teaches us about the right use of our capacity to manifest and co-create our reality.

The Lion Symbolism: Courage and Wisdom

The Lion has been considered a potent symbol of strength, royalty, leadership, wisdom, and majesty in many ancient cultures and esoteric traditions. In Tarot, it corresponds to the Strength card, which is the eighth or eleventh Major Arcana. The Strength card represents the process of refining our raw power through spiritual awareness and compassion.

In Astrology, Leo is about joy and authentic self-expression, about the process of reconnecting with our inner child through play and spontaneity. It is associated with the Heart Chakra and it rules romance, creativity, joy, self-realization, and personal fulfillment. Through Leo, we become full of ourselves: this means that we fill our own cup in such a way that generosity and joy can flow outwardly freely and naturally. Only by coming from a place of fullness and fulfillment, we can participate in life experiencing authentic personal satisfaction.

The Lion’s Gate Portal activation and the prominence of the Lion symbolism remind us that if we shine, everybody else automatically feels invited and allowed to shine. Our frequency is contagious, we always have an impact on others even when we don’t realize it, and our impact is often much bigger than we think. We never know who will feel inspired by our energy, we never know what the ripple effects of allowing our authentic self-expression to come through will be.

It is our sacred right and our sacred duty to express and celebrate all that we are unapologetically: the strong emphasis on the Leo archetype is giving ourselves permission and encouragement to do so.

Intention Setting and Manifestation during the Lion’s Gate Portal

The fact that the Leo New Moon happens simultaneously with the peak of the Lion’s Gate portal makes these days particularly auspicious for rituals, intention setting, and manifestation practices, especially those centered around creativity, self-confidence, and self-realization.

The days and hours before the Leo New Moon takes place are wonderful to let go of what we don’t want to bring with us during the cycle that is about to start. It is a time to release attachments and cords with gratitude, detach from limiting beliefs and behavioral patterns that we are ready to leave behind.

From the moment of the New Moon up to one day after it has taken place is the moment to invite something new into our lives, set intentions for the future, and celebrate the beauty of aliveness, of fully inhabiting the present moment.

We invite you to read our Leo New Moon article and find our channeled Leo New Moon ritual tools here.

Leo New Moon & Lion’s Gate Portal: Collective Initiation

The days associated with the peak of the Lion’s Gate portal may correspond to important variations in the Schumann Resonance, which measures the electromagnetic field of the Earth. The most sensitive people amongst us might be experiencing a variety of sensations that can manifest on the physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychic levels.

Insomnia, particularly vivid dreams, migraines, physical tension, irritability, and nervousness are all possible manifestations of sensitivity to this energy. You may feel restless or anxious, and have hard times finding a clear reason for your discomfort, or on the contrary, you could feel full of energy, excitement, motivation, and desire to set new things in motion.

Grounding can be helpful to soothe any uneasiness and come back to alignment if feeling overwhelmed. Connect intentionally with Nature and the Earth through practices such as walking barefoot, meditating while sitting in the grass, hugging a tree, or eating your lunch outside, possibly in the sunlight.

The Lion’s Gate activation and the Leo New Moon remind us that creativity is abundant and overflowing: we always have the opportunity to connect with the stream of Universal creative energy. These cosmic events invite us to open our hearts and minds to become a clear conduit through which the Universe can express itself.

New Moon in Aquarius: Seeds of the Future

On February 11, 2:05 PM ET, the Moon joins the Sun at 23°16’ Aquarius, and a new lunar cycle begins. As the New Moon in Aquarius takes place, we have a stellium of six celestial bodies in the sign of the Water Bearer. The last time it happened was in February 1962, and Mars was also involved in the configuration.

The pressure on the Aquarius archetype is extremely strong. The Cosmos is inviting a new generational change, encouraging all of us to reclaim our individuality and our uniqueness.

New Moons represent a fresh start, a rebirth: at this time of the month, we are encouraged to turn within, connect with ourselves, and set an intention for the cycle ahead. Soon, the Moon will start revealing herself to us again, a bit more every night: we are about to enter two weeks of experimental, instinctual, and spontaneous activity.

To celebrate the arrival of New Moon in Aquarius we are hosting global live guided meditation, and we invite you to join us and Moon Omens Soul Family on our YouTube channel and meditate together. The energy and experience is going to be amazing!

Aquarius: Liberation, Deconditioning, and Disruption

The New Moon in Aquarius begins a future-oriented lunar month during which we are likely to gravitate towards unconventional and alternative solutions. Aquarius inspires us to experiment and do things our way, rather than conforming to how something has always been done.

The eleventh sign of the Zodiac corresponds with the Fixed modality, the element of Air, and a Yang, masculine, or positive polarity. Aquarius has a lot to do with the world of ideas and ideologies, with the mind, and with long-term personal and collective memory.

Aquarius correlates to humanitarianism, human rights, social justice, and social equality. These themes might be in the spotlight during these days and will keep being at the forefront for months, due to the transits of Jupiter and Saturn, the two social planets, through the sign.

The archetype of the Water Bearer correlates to liberation from outdated structures, to the process of deconditioning, but also to sudden shocks and disruptions, to all those unexpected events that force us to find alternative solutions to what we are used to and to connect with our capacity for innovation.

New Moon in Aquarius: Breaking Free from Crystallized Structures

The New Moon in Aquarius inspires us to be courageous, unorthodox, and bold, to break past self-imposed limitations and societal expectations, to celebrate our individuality and our right to be different from everyone else.

At the same time, this cosmic event may reflect feelings of alienation, isolation, and the painful sensation of not fitting in anywhere. Nonetheless, Aquarius inspires us to respect and honor who we are individually, independently of what others think or are doing, and keep searching for people we resonate with on a Soul level.

new moon in aquarius

With six planets in Aquarius, the emphasis on the mind, the intellect, and the realms of ideas is huge. To balance the heightened activity in the sign, it is crucial to embrace the opposite archetype, Leo. While Aquarius is about objectivity and detachment, Leo is about joyful participation and involvement. Leo invites us to come back to our hearts, to our childlike playfulness, to our spontaneity, our enthusiasm, and our love for life.

New Moon trine North Node: Intellectual Curiosity and Social Exploration

The Sun, the Moon, retrograde Mercury, Jupiter, and Venus in Aquarius are currently forming a harmonic trine with the North Node of the Moon in Gemini.

The North Node of the Moon is a point in space related to our collective evolutionary direction, and the sign it is transiting through informs us of traits we are encouraged to cultivate. Trines are angles of 120° that reflect an easy flow of energy and information between celestial bodies traveling in signs of the same element, in this case, Air.

The connection between the North Node in Gemini and the planets in Aquarius encourages us to connect with a variety of people, focus on networking, seek intellectual exchanges and debate, get information from different sources, and question whatever is presented to us as the absolute truth.

The supportive Air trine taking place on the Aquarius New Moon reminds us of the power of curiosity and invites us to stay open to listening to a variety of opinions and viewpoints, as we can learn something new from everyone. This aspect facilitates intellectual breakthroughs, new understandings, and innovative ideas, that can open unexpected doors throughout the upcoming lunar cycle.

New Moon square Mars in Taurus: Exploring Resistance and Getting out of Stagnation

The Sun, the Moon, retrograde Mercury, Jupiter, and Venus are also in a square aspect to Mars, currently transiting Taurus. The square is an angle of 90°, reflecting friction between celestial bodies occupying signs of the same modality, in this case, the Fixed modality.

Mars in Taurus is slow, steady, and earthy. Its main goal is to preserve what already exists in a way that ensures survival and promotes stability and security. On the contrary, the planets in airy Aquarius are extremely fast and projected forward: they urge us to experiment and explore new ideas and ways of doing things, which implies confronting insecurity and the feeling of not knowing how everything will turn out.

These alignments can reflect a sense of stubbornness and some resistance to considering alternative viewpoints and options, but also a simultaneous urge to get out of stagnation. The tension generated by these aspects can give us the motivation to put concrete adjustments in place and initiate substantial changes in our lives.

Saturn square Uranus: Moving Forward without Forgetting the Past

Saturn and Uranus are the traditional and modern ruler of the New Moon in Aquarius. Their condition gives us additional insights into the quality of the upcoming lunar cycle. The two planets are in a square aspect, which will be exact on February 17. The friction reflected by this configuration can represent another motivating factor that can inspire us to make change happen.

While, on the one hand, all the planets in Aquarius are propelling us towards new paradigms and an unknown future, Saturn’s traditional rulership of the sign reminds us of the necessity to honor the past and not forget what it taught us. Saturn, now transiting Aquarius, is asking us to take responsibility for the lessons we have learned and to decide what we want to keep and what we want to let go of.

Meanwhile, the long term transit of Uranus in Taurus reflects a radical redefinition of the global economy and sudden shifts in our value systems. The modern ruler of Aquarius is inviting us to find new ways to meet our survival needs, new ways to make an income, new ways to connect with Nature and to honor our physical bodies.

On this New Moon, the square between Saturn and Uranus increases the tension between the desire to hold back to the past and the known, and the willingness to move towards the future and the unknown. This configuration emphasizes the need for substantial and lasting systemic change, and these will be ongoing themes for the entire 2021.

Venus conjunct Jupiter in Aquarius: Embracing New Values and Beliefs

As the New Moon in Aquarius takes place, Venus forms an exact conjunction with Jupiter, also in Aquarius. The supportive alignment of the two traditional benefics invites harmony and optimism and relieves some of the tension reflected by the current planetary configuration.

Venus conjunct Jupiter in Aquarius will inspire us to experiment in our love and social life, but also with our finances. Their alignment represents an invitation to question our assumptions around love, friendships, money, abundance, and to explore new values, new structures, and new belief systems.

The conjunction between Venus and Jupiter happens once a year: it represents a wonderful influence on our creativity. Their aspect promotes innovative and original ideas, inspires us to expand our knowledge, and motivates us to be true to our unique needs and urges.

New Moon in Aquarius: Planting Seeds of the Future

This New Moon in Aquarius represents an invitation to get together with others and plant the seeds of a new future. We can’t create a new reality alone. We are wired to connect, to be part of a community, and for so long we have overlooked the power of togetherness and social support.

To help you harness this powerful energy we have created a Channeled Guided New Moon in Aquarius Meditation Audio & Printable Be a VisionaryJournal. We invite you to perform these New Moon in Aquarius Ritual Tools together with Moon Omens Soul Family. To find more information and gain access tap here or on the image below.

Together, we are asked to envision a new reality and to give birth to new paradigms. This New Moon invites us to reflect upon the role we want to have in the new system, how would that serve others, what needs to be changed most urgently, what we want to preserve and what we want to leave behind, and how we can support each other in the transition.

Consistently cultivating social interactions and having the feeling of being supported by a community of like minds is so crucial right now. So many of us are struggling with the current world situation and can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel.

While doing our personal inner work is essential, having the support of a group makes everything easier. Luckily, nowadays we can easily find online communities we resonate with. Don’t hesitate to seek heart-based connections: even if you don’t have the possibility to interact face to face with others, you might be surprised by the depth that can be accessed through virtual and long-distance exchanges.

We are living in an extremely paradoxical time: what we are urged to do is to accept and embrace the uncertainty, to find our flow amid change, and to explore ways to cultivate inner peace in the eye of the storm, while creating space for others to do the same.

Jupiter conjunct Saturn in Aquarius: a New Era

On December 21, 1:20 PM ET, Jupiter will be exactly conjunct Saturn at 0°29’ of Aquarius. The conjunction between Jupiter and Saturn propels us into 2021 with a newfound sense of hope and a strong desire for significant collective change.

The two planets have ended their long journey through Capricorn almost simultaneously, and they are now ushering in a completely different energy. Their exact alignment, traditionally known as the “Great Conjunction”, marks the beginning of a New Era of Air, and we will feel its effect for the upcoming 20 years.

The Great Conjunction: the Dawn of a New Era

Jupiter and Saturn meet approximately every 20 years: ancient Astrologers considered their conjunction the event marking the shift of historical eras. However, the alignment we experience in 2020 is even more significant than other Jupiter Saturn conjunctions because, for the first time in 200 years, the two planets will meet in an Air sign, Aquarius. The previous conjunctions happened in Earth archetypes: this elemental change reflects the enormous shift in global consciousness currently taking place. From now on, Jupiter and Saturn will continue to meet in Air signs until 2159.

If this was not enough, this cosmic event is happening on the 0° degree of Aquarius, symbolizing the beginning of a new evolutionary phase, and simultaneously with the ingress of the Sun in Capricorn and the Solstice. This is another very relevant factor to consider: this moment represents the literal and metaphorical start of a new season, Winter in the Northern Hemisphere, and Summer in the Southern Hemisphere. The fact that Jupiter and Saturn are joining on the Solstice intensifies the power of their current conjunction and its relevance for the collective. This cosmic event marks the dawn of a new era of innovation, originality, and groundbreaking discoveries.

Is the Age of Aquarius starting?

Many of us are wondering whether or not the Great Conjunction represents the beginning of the Aquarian Age. There is not an official agreement upon this in the Astrology community: some believe this may be the case, others state that the Age of Aquarius will begin only with the transit of Pluto through Aquarius, starting in 2023, others think that it already started, other that we are not quite there yet and that the transition may take even longer.

The Astrological Ages last approximately 2500 years, and what most Astrologers agree upon is that the transition between Ages is a long process: it can take between 50 and 150 years. This event doesn’t happen overnight, as it implies a radical and all-encompassing paradigm shift that affects all aspects of our reality and global consciousness itself.

However, the vast majority of Astrologers believe that we are right in the middle of the transition between the Age of Pisces and the Age of Aquarius. We are probably in the final phases of the process. Even if we don’t know exactly how long it will take, the flaws and the distortions of obsolete systems have been ruthlessly exposed during 2020: this is an integral and essential part of the transition of the Ages.

The destruction of the current structures is necessary to create space for new ones, and it is not over yet. In 2021, we are likely to experience more purging, and an ongoing conflict between the old and the new, marked by the potent square between Saturn and Uranus, active throughout the whole year.

Jupiter conjunct Saturn in Aquarius: Blending different Energies

While Jupiter expands, Saturn contracts: the two planets couldn’t be more different. Yet, they are joining forces on the Solstice, and their conjunction will bring lasting global changes. Jupiter will be in Aquarius for almost the entire 2021, while Saturn will be there for two and a half years. Their energies will inspire and motivate us to bring our ideas into form, to embody our individuality and originality without fear, and to give birth to something unique and revolutionary.

Jupiter conjunct Saturn in Aquarius

Jupiter in Aquarius expands our vision, our capacity to be innovative and dream big. Meanwhile, Saturn helps us make our dreams real and tangible and invites us to link our vision and goals to a relevant social need. Even if they are very different, these two planets can work well together, as they complement each other.

Aquarius has a natural inclination to experiment and try new things: the Jupiter transit through the sign supports the Jupiterian need to explore and expand while the transit of Saturn will help us cultivate discipline and practicality, balancing any tendency to be too abstract, ungrounded, or idealistic.

Breakthroughs & Community Building

In 2021, we will also experience the effects of the long term transit of Uranus, the modern ruler of Aquarius, through Taurus. Uranus’ influence tends to be disruptive and unsettling. However, together with Saturn and Jupiter, Uranus will help us get out of stagnation.

These transits will inspire us to reconnect with nature, to take action towards significant social change, and to create alternative systems based on equality, communion, and mutual respect. Communities will be an essential part of the upcoming years. Aquarius is associated with all those connections we form with like-minded Souls who share similar dreams, goals, and visions, but also with feelings of alienation and loneliness due to the sensation of not fitting in anywhere. Because of this paradox, a risk could be to sacrifice our individual needs and expression just for the sake of belonging to a group.

Jupiter conjunct Saturn in Aquarius: Science & Technology

Aquarius invites us to see things from a higher vantage point, and to cultivate objectivity and detachment: this is the archetype related to science, technology, and the Internet. For this reason, we will keep witnessing a radical transformation of the way we work, interact, and communicate, something that is already taking place.

Connecting and exchanging ideas with people from different cultures and backgrounds will be the key to harness the energy of Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius. Being open to learning from each other will allow us to exponentially increase our creativity and our capacity to bring forth innovation.

Jupiter conjunct Saturn in Aquarius: Liberation from Conditioning

The Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius invites us to dive deeper into what Carl Jung defined as the individuation process. This means becoming aware of the conditioning and limiting beliefs we have unconsciously internalized, and finding our own unique ways to break free from them and get closer to our essence.

Aquarius encourages us to liberate ourselves from outdated ways of being and from all those behaviors that we adopt in order to fit in, yet don’t feel authentic and real. This cosmic event is inviting us to stop holding on to the past, to align with the changing paradigm, and to join the global transformation.

Neptune Stations Direct: Surrender and Acceptance

On November 28, 07:36 PM ET, Neptune stations direct at 18°09’ of Pisces after being in apparent retrograde motion, from our perspective on Earth, since June 23. Every time a planet stations direct after a retrograde, we are encouraged to implement what we learned and reflected upon during the previous months and to take initiative from a different level of consciousness and more profound self-knowledge.

Neptune stationing direct in Pisces is deepening our compassion and empathy as well as our self-awareness. This transit is offering us the chance to integrate the inner experiences and the realizations we had during the last five months: we are now called to translate them into actions through conscious behaviors and choices.

Neptune in Pisces: Entering a Timeless Realm

Neptune has been in his home sign, Pisces, since 2012, and will be there until 2025. This long-term transit is opening for us the doors of transcendence and timelessness: the God of the Ocean invites us to traverse a portal to something beyond our individual ego. Yet, Neptunian energy is not easy to manage and integrate for us humans, and it can easily be misunderstood and misinterpreted.

We can’t grasp Neptune with the conscious, linear mind we normally rely on: this is a transpersonal planet operating in completely different realms, following a logic we are not used to. Neptune rules all those larger-than-life, uncontrollable forces that were here long before we existed and that we have absolutely no way to understand, control, or direct.

Neptune is elusive, it’s constantly shapeshifting, it is diffuse and all-pervasive, yet invisible to the human eye. Neptune is in our eternal longing, in all those unexplainable feelings and sensations. This planet rules divine, spiritual love, a love that has no boundaries or conditions, which can only be attained through our connection with Source.

Neptune Stations Direct

For this reason, Neptune is associated with spirituality, mysticism, and transcendence. Yet, in his lower expression, Neptune corresponds to escapism and addictions, confusion, incapability of taking charge of one’s life, to the tendency to rely on illusions and delusions, and to strong experiences of disillusionment.

Neptune squaring the Lunar Nodes: Transcending Global Chaos

Neptune is currently approaching a square aspect to the Lunar Nodes in Gemini and Sagittarius. Their alignment is not exact until January 23, but we are already feeling its effects, which are reflected in the global chaos and the widespread confusion: Neptune represents the collective emotional body, it correlates with the collective unconscious and to all mass phenomena.

Planets squaring the Nodal Axis need to be integrated through a balance between the energies of the North and the South Node. Any configuration involving the Lunar Nodes is very karmic in nature and reflects a key step of our collective and personal evolutionary journey. We are likely to feel the effects of the ongoing square between Neptune and the Nodes until at least April 2021.

The South Node, currently in Sagittarius, is a point in space related to the past and to where we are coming from. This transit correlates with our current need to hold on to our personal truth, our belief system, and our worldview. Yet, Neptune stationing direct will ask us to let go of many of our old beliefs and assumptions. Neptune always reminds us that the absolute truth many of us are looking for is out of reach, that the complete knowledge of reality is not possible.

As Neptune keeps squaring the Nodes, we will be wondering about what is real and what is not real: we will be wondering if we will ever be able to grasp the actual reality of our human experience. To balance these energies, we are encouraged to cultivate discrimination and critical thinking, especially regarding the information we receive, as well as humility and acceptance of where we are in our spiritual journey. Neptune stationing direct invites us to embrace the inherent beauty and perfection of not knowing everything, of being imperfect human beings.

Neptune stations Direct: Surrender and Acceptance

Ultimately, Neptune is about faith and total trust in Life. Neptune corresponds to a place where we have no control, where the only choice we have is to surrender to what we encounter on our path and accept it, even if it’s hard and we don’t understand its deeper meaning.

“The most exquisite paradox…as soon as you give it all up, you can have it all. As long as you want power, you can’t have it. The minute you don’t want power, you’ll have more than you ever dreamed possible.” – Ram Dass

Neptune transits are humbling. They remind us of the fact that we are both one infinite consciousness and human beings, which is beautiful yet confusing. Being aware of our true nature while having to deal with all the ups and downs and drama of 3D reality is hard.

These months represent a window of opportunity to connect with our most vulnerable places, to become aware of what we reject in ourselves, and embrace unconditional self-compassion and self-love.

Neptune stations Direct: Reconnecting to Oneness and Cultivating Inner Peace

Neptune stationing direct represents an invitation to connect with Spirit, to remember where we are coming from, while honoring the human experience, and celebrating where we are at right now, in the present moment. Neptune direct in Pisces expands our psychic sensitivity, our capacity for empathy and compassion, and our awareness of our connection to the whole, to global consciousness.

During the upcoming months, Neptune will invite us to quiet the mind and to trust our intuition, yet without trying to prove our point to others. Neptune stationing direct can help us see beyond polarization, beyond the illusion of separation, beyond our fear of loss, of the sensation of not fitting in anywhere. This transit is here to inspire us to connect with a sense of inner peace that is not dependent on external conditions and situations.

Arcturus Gateway 2020: Remembering Who We Are

The Arcturus Gateway opens every year between October 16 and October 18, but its influence is going to be stronger than usual during 2020. Many of us are likely to be able to feel the effects of this alignment for the rest of the current lunar cycle, which also began on October 16 with the New Supermoon in Libra. These two cosmic events represent in themselves potent new beginnings, and the fact that they are happening simultaneously is enhancing the creative power of both.

Arcturus is a bright, big, Fixed Star: it is always placed at 24°14’ Libra and, on October 17, the Sun joins it there, opening an energetic portal that invites us to go inwards and come back to our hearts. The light codes coming from Arcturus through the rays of the Sun accelerate our healing process, help us find a deeper meaning to what we encounter on our path, and encourage us to remember that things happen for us and not to us.

The Arcturus Gateway: a Potent Alignment

Ancient astronomers, in particular those from India and Egypt, were well aware of the importance of Fixed Stars such as Sirius and Arcturus and they studied their influence in great detail. Arcturus is the brightest Star in the Bootes constellation, and, traditionally, it has been considered one of the most fortunate Fixed Stars in the sky, associated with luck, abundance, and increased motivation to overcome challenges.

The Arcturus Gateway opens twice a year when the alignment between Sun, Earth, and Arcturus becomes perfect: in April we witness the opposition between the Sun in Aries and the bright Fixed Star in Libra, while in October we experience the effects of their conjunction, which merges their energies.

From our perspective on Earth, during the Sun-Arcturus conjunction in Libra, Arcturus becomes invisible. Yet, its power is magnified through the alignment with the Sun. For this reason, sun-gazing at sunrise or sunset, meditating in Nature, eating our lunch outside, or even simply spending time outdoors, with bare skin exposed to sunlight, can allow us to absorb the higher frequencies coming from Arcturus that are reaching the Earth through the rays of the Sun.

Arcturus Frequency: Healing and Transcendence

Arcturus represents more than a Star: it is home of higher dimensional beings, and it holds a very high frequency that, since very ancient times, has been associated with the transcendence of physical form, emotional healing, and creativity.

Arcturians are said to represent the highest potential of evolution of the human race and one of the most advanced civilizations of the entire galaxy. Many believe that, at the moment of death, human consciousness passes through the Arcturian realms. These realms are not a dense, physical plane like the 3D reality we are familiar with: it is an etheric plane that has primarily a sixth-density. Arcturians don’t have a physical form, they often manifest to us as angels, and their purpose is to serve humanity by helping us heal and reminding us of our true essence.

The Symbolic Meaning of Libra 25

The 24°14’ degree of Libra, where the Sun and Arcturus are meeting, is correlated to Sabian Symbol Libra 25.

Sabian Symbols consist of 360 specific phrases that contain metaphors and images associated with each of the 360 degrees of the Zodiac. They have been channeled by Clairvoyant Elsie Wheeler who worked with Astrologer Mark Edmund Jones back in 1925. The Symbols have the function to add an additional layer of meaning to each degree of each sign.

The Sabian Symbol for Libra 25 is “The sight of an autumn leaf brings to a pilgrim the sudden revelation of the mystery of life and death”. This phrase reminds us of our innate ability to look beyond what is obvious, beyond what is immediately visible to the naked eye.

This Sabian Symbol is about seeking the deeper meaning of what we encounter on our path and becoming aware of the reason behind the cyclical and repetitive patterns that show up in our lives. Searching for the hidden significance behind what is obvious helps us connect with our Higher Self, and facilitates the access to our inner wisdom and intuition.

Arcturus Gateway

The transition between 24° and 25° of Libra symbolizes our ability to understand the interconnectedness of everything in creation, and the ongoing exchange of energy and information between our dimension, other planes, more advanced beings, and different timelines.

When this Symbol is activated by a powerful alignment such as the Arcturus Gateway, we need to be particularly mindful of what shows up for us during these days. Mundane events we wouldn’t normally pay much attention to may represent a metaphor for something much deeper, that contains important messages for our Soul’s evolution.

The Arcturus Gateway is Open: Seeing Through the Illusion

These days are going to be filled with incredible synchronicities, sudden insights, and revelations. What comes up at this time has the potential to incredibly accelerate the shift in consciousness we are all experiencing.

Contacting Arcturians, beings from other dimensions, our Angels and Guides, is likely to be easier than usual. Starseeds are going to feel this alignment particularly intensely, especially those of them who spent some of their past lives on Arcturus.

To align with the vibration of Arcturus, charge in the sunlight your crystals, amulets, tarot cards, or other spiritual and divination tools. This is a wonderful time for conscious manifestation and intention setting, as the energy of the New Supermoon we just experienced and the frequency of the Arcturus-Sun conjunction are enhancing each other and they are both supporting these purposes.

We may feel more intensely than usual the triggers that emerge during these days. Nonetheless, they also offer us great potential for emotional healing, for the integration of complex or traumatic experiences, and the transmutation of stagnant energies into higher vibrations.

The Arcturus Gateway opens a cosmic portal that invites us to come home to ourselves, to the center of our being, and to connect with the part of us that is beyond time and space, beyond the physical form and all the limitations it implies. Ultimately, this cosmic event reminds us of our true nature. During these times of uncertainty and transition, the Sun-Arcturus alignment encourages us to open our hearts, to trust the Divine plan, and to cultivate our innate connection to Source.

Decoding The Spiritual Meaning Of 9999 – 999 – 99 & 9

In this article we are going to decode spiritual meaning of the number 9 and it’s sequences 99, 999 and 9999. In previous article we decoded number 8, if you haven’t we invite you to read it (read article about number 8)

Following the infinite manifestation ability of the number 8, the number 9 achieves perfect spiritual structure. The number 9 represents the greatest harmony possible for the world, where there is no more growth left to do.

Numerologically, this is the culmination of the 3rd cycle of creation. The creative forces of spirit are fully linked with the material world. There is union between both worlds, achieving the utmost perfection. From here, the only thing left is to dissolve so the cycle can begin over again.

Service to Others 9

The number 9 in numerology represents service to humanity. This is the number of wisdom, responsibility, and selflessness.

When this number is appearing for you, it is time for you to focus on humanitarianism. The Universe asks you to broad your perspective to understand the experiences of others. You are cultivating empathy by taking a metaphorical walk in someone else’s shoes.

9 is also karmic number of spiritual awakening. When this number appears, you are being called to view the world around you from the perspective of spirit. All is one and one is all; people just separated into a myriad of different identities and parts.

Using the energy of the number 9 you can honor both the separation and wholeness present in the nature of the manifest world. The separation only feels scary when you forget the cosmic knowing that you are inherently part of the vast interconnectedness of the Universe.

On your spiritual path, seeing the number 9 means that it is time for you to be of service to those who are in need. By offering others your time, energy, and attention, you bring them back to union with the interconnection the world.

9999

It is through this interconnection that humanity sustains itself. When the number 9 appears, you truly can spread the light with your compassion.

Release to Complete 99

The number 99 is one of surrender. This number calls you to let go and release what is no longer in alignment with your spiritual cycle.

99 is a sacred number because it represents cosmic harmony. As things emerge in life, others must fall away. This is a natural cycle of the Universe.

It can be scary to the ego to let go of what you’ve clung to as part of your identity. Changes in jobs, housing, and relationships can seem disruptive. Losing things of value to you can be painful, but it is through this process of rebirth that you learn how to develop faith in the next stage of your life.

When 99 is appearing for you, it is a period of time when you must hand the reins over to the Universe for guidance. When you are refusing to relinquish control, you will notice your pain and suffering growing. You will be only be gifted with grace when you fully surrender to the flow of spiritual energy.

99

This is the culmination of your spiritual journey on the path you’ve been walking. The transformation is natural and needed for you to evolve to the next leg of your spiritual journey.

The Universe is sending you the message through the number 99 to release your fear and focus on trust. Everything happening is for the highest good. Ultimately, you will see how necessary the shift happening was to your well being. Continue to have faith until you’ve made it to the other side.

Integrating Lessons For Evolving Humanity 999

999 is a sign that you are integrating your spiritual lessons for the evolution of humanity. Your insight makes you have very special cosmic role in the path of the collective spiritual journey of the world.

The energy of 999 holds knowledge of crisis within it because it knows that ultimately it will be dissolved into something new. The world is in a similar place right now, where major transformation is provoking a feeling of chaotic confusion.

Amid the chaos of the work, seeing the number 999 indicates you are a spiritual light worker who is meant to hold space for the changes, acknowledge what is happening, and help others to process their experiences.

999

Seeing the number 999 means that you have a sacred duty to educate others on your own spiritual ups and downs in order to help them make sense of their own awakening process. One thing the Universe is calling you to convey is that it is okay for things to fall apart because they will be rebuilt better than before.

Things must reach completion, or else they will go on forever and nothing new would begin again. The lessons of 999 is to honor the conflict of wanting to keep things the same to feel safe with the desire to trust everything will turn out alright. This is a very tumultuous and emotional space for people to be in because it feels like an in-between with no answers or direction.

On your spiritual path, the energy of 999 calls on you to be a lighthouse for others to lead them through the darkness. Continuing to promote kindness, compassion, and empathy is how humanity will successfully evolve to the next level.

The energy of 999 invites you to release the need for perfection. It’s all right to not have answers to everything. Simply being present and holding space for others to have their own spiritual awakenings is all you need to do. You might only impact a handful of people, but on the cosmic level, you are making a huge shift in the consciousness of humanity.

Ascended Master 9999

The number 9999 holds the frequency of an ascended master. When noticing 9999, you are a very special carrier of higher consciousness, and you will naturally elevate other’s mind to see the connection and love in the world.

9999 is a signal that you have reached a very high spiritual frequency. You are both connected to the world soul and the infinite world of spirit. This special link allows you to channel messages from spirit to the rest of the world.

When 9999 is appearing for you, you have come to a very advanced stage of spiritual enlightenment. It is good to notice the intuitive callings you’ve been having and write them down. The Universe is giving you pieces of information that you will need to remember later.

9999

Through the energy of 9999, ascended masters are working through you as a channel for bringing harmony, peace, and love to the world. Opening to their higher frequency through meditation is helpful to merge your consciousness with that of your spiritual guides.

Since 9999 represents transformation, you will begin to feel a sense of transcendence in your daily life. You may notice orbs of light or colors around you, and this is very high frequency energy surrounding you.

On your spiritual path, when you open to holding the energy of the ascended masters in the physical world, you naturally bring others into resonance with the high vibration. You are harmonizing people around you just by allowing your light to shine.

Honor the energy of 9999 with gratitude. The ascended masters know your spiritual devotion and integrity make you the ideal person to hold this frequency. This won’t last forever, for the channels change often, but for now, you are uplifting the consciousness to spirit in perfect harmony.

Decoding The Spiritual Meaning Of 8888 — 888 — 88 & 8

In this article we are going to decode spiritual meaning of the number 8 and it’s sequences 88, 888 and 8888. In previous article we decoded number 7, if you haven’t we invite you to read it (read article about number 7)

Following the inherent spiritual understanding of how the Universe is connected and operates through the number 7, the number 8 creates a mathematical, logical representation of the spiritual world that can take shape in the 3D material plane. The number 8 is the manifestation of time into space. Sacred geometry in numerology is at its peak at this stage.

8 has much more freedom to create in material reality than the initial material structure of the number 4. There is a greater range of potential to expand into because the form is less rigid. The number 8 has the ability to fully manifest in the material world and is therefore often considered a very magical number.

Strength of Will 8

The number 8 in numerology indicates strength of will. This is the number of mind over matter that teaches how to use the law of attraction.

When this number is appearing for you, it is time for you to become aware of how your thoughts are influencing your reality. What you focus on, you magnify. You are especially potent in your ability to draw things to you, and also gifted at overcoming obstacles that are blocking your creations from taking form.

8 is a karmic number that seeks balance, as symbolized by it’s symmetry. The lessons of this energy are teaching that you must use your personal power, which often manifests through your ego, in order to create the callings of your soul.

The energy of the number 8 will show where your spiritual imbalance is in order to help your soul grow to be spirit driven, rather than ego driven. The problem with ego-driven manifestation is that it usually involves you forcing your will onto other people, either consciously or unconsciously, to get what you want.

Manifesting through the ego disconnects you from spirit because it is based on the belief that you know what is best. In numerology, the number 8 calls you to achieve both spiritual and material wealth through spiritual creation, which honors the freedom of all things.

8888

Seeing the number 8 is a sign from the Universe that it is time for you to bring your powerful will into alignment with spirit. Doing so will create moments of divine timing, synchronistic opportunities, and situations where what is best for all parties is considered.

There is great force within you, and the number 8 does not want you to diminish it. On your spiritual path, the number 8 asks you to continue to use your power to overcome obstacles and manifest in the world in a way that allows you to be a conduit for the Universe.

Material and Spiritual Abundance 88

The number 88 is one of material and spiritual abundance. This number calls you redefine what success look like in the world by incorporating spirit.

The number 88 is a sign that you are meant to be a leader and will naturally attract opportunities for great wealth and abundance into your life. The Universe is inviting you to show others how to create prosperity in their life by making spirit the foundation.

Spirit and matter are not separate, and the meaning of the number 88 teaches that. Spirit is the source through which the physical world manifests. Often people trapped in ego seek fortune and riches in order to achieve social status or fame, but this is a material reality on a faulty spiritual foundation. That type of success is never long lasting.

The energy of the number 88 calls you to dismantle those ego-based associations with the drive for material things. You are learning lessons of creating wealth in order to share with others, achieving success in the material world to do great works for humanity, and seeing prosperity as confirmation of spiritual alignment.

8888

The Universe is naturally abundant. Falling into a mindset of lack, disempowerment, and poverty is simply a trick of the mind. By breaking free of this illusion, you discover the link between honoring your spiritual calling and manifesting what you need in the material world.

On your soul’s path, the number 88 is confirmation that you are generating wealth through your spiritual alignment with the Universe. Others look to you as a role model, who uses their power and influence to make a difference in the world. As you continue to share your abundance and follow your spiritual path, new forms of prosperity will stream into your life because the Universe always provides.

Mastery of Personal Power 888

888 is a sign of mastery of your personal power. You are taking on new levels of leadership because you’ve discovered how to balance your drive for achievement with the good of others.

Leading others is special spiritual path. You must guide those who turn to you for direction. It is very easy for this power to corrupt people in positions of power. Often times, leaders succumb to personal interest and selfishness, rather than considering the needs of those they are responsible for guiding.

Seeing the number 888 is your chance to examine how you are using your personal power in regards to others. The Universe is calling for you to use authenticity and transparency in order to manifest your will in sacred co-creation with others. It is time to become aware of tendencies to manipulate others, overshadow others, or assert dominance in order to get your way.

By uncovering this shadow, you strengthen your leadership abilities. This is because you’ve done the spiritual reflection needed to ensure you are being fair and just in how you see your personal power.

8

Seeing the number 888 means you now are aware of the full spectrum of how you may be inclined to use your power and can do so with consciousness to ensure it is coming from spirit rather than ego.

On your spiritual path, the number 888 invites you to create your own method of leadership. It is time for you to reflect how you can display your spiritual knowing without making others feeling inferior. You have the strength to build others up, while also demonstrating your expertise.

Accessing Infinity 8888

8888 is number of infinity. Seeing this number is a sign that you have accessed a level of consciousness where your creation potential is unlimited. You are able to unite spirit and matter to bring yourself to new levels of abundance and prosperity.

The Universe is gifting you with the experience of infinity. You have infinite time through a state of flow, infinite wealth through feelings of abundance, and infinite love through an all-encompassing appreciation for life.

This is a time for you to allow your spirit to soar without limits. As far as you go, you’ll always return home. Just like the infinity symbol, you will always return to your spiritual center.

8888 is a signal you are raising your consciousness. Only great spiritual masters are able to access the realm of infinity. Time spent in meditation will offer you access to the mysteries of the Universe.

When noticing 8888, you are growing out of limiting beliefs. You are no longer repeating patterns and being stuck with the same results. This time around, you have awareness of the impact of your choices, which allows you to cultivate a new level of consciousness.

The number 8888 gives you the confidence to move beyond your current life circumstances. Nothing is too big for you to achieve, and there is no reason to settle for less than your highest possible ideals.

8888

On your spiritual path, you have access to the knowledge of great spiritual masters before you. 8888 is your gateway to experience ultimate reality, where the infinite potential of spirit is manifest in the world for you to live your dreams.

New Moon in Leo: Heart, Mind & Manifesting Magic

On August 18 at 10:41 PM EST, we are experiencing a creative and playful New Moon in Leo, happening at 26°35′ degrees of the sign of the Lion.

New Moons always represent the beginning of a brand new cycle. The Moon has been gradually disappearing from our sight, and from now on she will start growing again, showing a little more of herself each night.

The days before the New Moon, also known as the Dark or Balsamic phase, are days of healing and rest, of introspection and reflection. The New Moon has now come, but it is not the time to take action yet.

First, the cosmic energy of the moment invites us to set clear intentions for the upcoming cycle, after an honest self-inquiry regarding what we want to manifest and why. Every month the New Moon encourages us to act from a focused and conscious place: she wants us to feel a full-body “yes” before taking any initiative.

New Moon in Leo

The New Moon in Leo reminds us not to be afraid to dream big. She inspires us to define a vision that inspires and motivates us, to believe in it, and in our power to manifest it. Sun and Moon in the sign of the Lion invite us to visualize a bright future for ourselves and our loved ones despite the hard and uncertain times we are living in.

New Moon in Leo: Honor your Path

The Sun and the Moon join forces in Leo, inviting us to celebrate our individuality, our passions, and our need to be seen and appreciated. The message of this New Moon is that we are safe to be ourselves and to explore the desires of our hearts. She inspires us to develop unshakable self-confidence and faith in who we are, and encourages us to share our true and authentic self with the world without fear of being judged.

Leo is a fierce Fire archetype, corresponding to our upper back, heart, and solar plexus. Its energy is Yang or masculine: this means that when we have a cosmic event happening here, its effects are mostly directed outwards. During this New Moon, we naturally tend to express the qualities of Leo outwardly, we show their expression to the world around us.

Leo inspires us to let go of any shyness and self-consciousness. The archetype of the Lion invites us to be bold and unapologetic, to take the space we deserve, reminding us that we all have the right to shine and be seen.

New Moon in Leo

This New Moon is a strong call for honoring our personal path, and letting go of the need to measure up to someone else’s standards. Success has a different meaning for everybody. This celestial event invites us to make choices that reflect our soul purpose and to hold on to our vision even if other people don’t support it.

New Moon conjunct Mercury in Leo: Merging Heart and Mind

This New Moon is inviting us to organize our thoughts, reflect on any emotion coming up, and consciously share with others how we feel and what we need. The conjunction between Sun, Moon, and Mercury in the sign of the Lion is encouraging us to speak our truth lovingly and openly, merging our minds and our hearts.

The Fixed quality of Leo is associated with loyalty, focus, and with the ability of this sign to commit to what he takes on, bringing forward projects he already started with continuous and constant effort. A risk of Sun, Moon, and Mercury joining together in Leo can be being too proud to change our mind even if we know we are wrong, falling into the trap of egocentrism and entitlement. In its shadow expression, Leo can get quite stubborn.

Beware of the temptation of engaging in gossip and drama during these days, especially on social media. Take care of not raising your voice with your loved ones, and of not getting too fixed in your position or point of view. Always be mindful of allowing other people to have their opinion: respect their right to speak and share what they think, even if they don’t agree with you.

New Moon in Leo trine Mars in Aries: Let it All Go

The supportive trine between Sun, Moon, and Mercury in Leo and Mars in Aries inspires us to find ways to channel, move, and physically release the excess emotional energy, as well as any anger, frustration, or fear coming up during these days.

To harness the qualities of this positive aspect, experiment with different sports, creative activities, theater, dance and performance art. It is now possible to find very affordable or even free online classes and tutorials of almost any discipline or art form: this is a real blessing.

Make some research and try something you always wanted to try, whatever makes you feel inspired at any given moment. Don’t be afraid to mess up and make mistakes: both Mars in Aries and the planets in Leo invite us to learn through trial and error, and they remind us of the value and importance of knowing ourselves through direct experience.

Because of the trine between Mars and the New Moon, we are starting a new lunar cycle where our vitality and energy levels are tightly correlated to our capacity for emotional regulation. Channeling our feelings into any self-expression modality is going to increase our stamina, determination, and willpower. It has the potential to help us release the frustration and the anger we may have repressed or unconsciously accumulated.

Sun, Moon, and Mercury trine Mars inspires us to follow our path and walk it alone if necessary. They encourage us to honor our emotional needs, our feelings and sensations, as well as our necessity for freedom and self-expression.

Venus in Cancer sextile Uranus in Taurus: Feel Free to Experiment

The exact sextile between Venus in Cancer and Uranus in Taurus on the New Moon in Leo is infusing the entire upcoming lunar cycle with an original and progressive energy. Our love life, social life, and overall creativity are likely to benefit from this positive aspect.

Uranus represents our truest individuality, and our need to break free from constrictions, limitations, outdated rules, and beliefs. Venus represents how we relate to ourselves and others, our values, needs, and resources.

When these planets connect, we may feel that innovative and unconventional ideas tend to emerge out of the blue. The sextile is a harmonious aspect that triggers us but without insisting too much: it can be easy to be unaware of its influence or ignore it. It’s up to us to take action upon it and to make good use of its energy.

The sextile between Venus in Cancer and Uranus in Taurus inspires us to experiment, to introduce novelty in our relationships with others, in our personal style, and maybe even in our value system.

Uranus does not like stagnation and doesn’t have a good tolerance for boredom. This planet loves shaking up routine and it always demands more excitement and freedom. On the contrary, Venus in Cancer tends to enjoy routine because of the feeling of safety it generates.

Nonetheless, thanks to the positive influence of the sextile between them, many of us will open our minds, leave our comfort zone, and risk more. During the upcoming lunar cycle, we are likely to feel inspired to experiment, innovate, and introduce something unusual in our life.

The More We Give, the More We Receive

The New Moon in Leo reminds us that the most important achievement is feeling happy and satisfied with what we do every day, with the way we live our life, and the people we share it with. Leo invites us to value ourselves, our qualities, our talents, and our capacities. This New Moon inspires us to spend more time doing what makes us feel true joy in our hearts and to share this feeling with others.

We are encouraged to make a conscious effort to find time to play, have fun, and do whatever makes us feel happy and glowing. Once we cultivate these qualities in ourselves, we naturally inspire the people in our life to do the same, inviting them to join us into that space of self-love and authenticity.

Leo reminds us that being genuinely generous towards others automatically allows us to be able to give more. As we instinctively attune to the frequency of abundance, we soon realize that unexpected gifts and opportunities are spontaneously coming our way.

Ultimately, the message of this New Moon is that when we tap into the infinite Source of creative energy available to us, we are inevitably shown that the more we give, the more we receive.

Uranus Retrograde: Inner Self Discovery

On August 15, at 10:26 AM EST, Uranus stations retrograde at 10° Taurus, joining Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto, Neptune, and Chiron. We are inevitably going to feel an energetic shift: we now have six planets in an apparent backward motion.

The first half of August has been intense for many of us: we all feel the need to take a break. The presence of six retrograde planets invites us to turn our attention within and elaborate on the emotions that have been coming up. We are encouraged to reflect on how we can integrate the events that have been taking place and on the best way to adapt to the recent changes and challenges.

Uranus: the Great Awakener

Also known as the Great Awakener, Uranus is often associated with the mythological figure of Prometheus. Prometheus disobeyed the Gods and stole them the fire of creative power, giving it to humanity, even though he knew he was going to pay for it.

His unprecedented brave gesture allowed mankind to rise to new heights. Fire represents a sacred symbol and a transformative element. Fire warms and illuminates us, it can be a weapon of war, it can be devastating, yet it cleanses and purifies us, it destroys all evil. Fire represents the flame of awareness, the knowledge that allows us to empower ourselves.

Uranus, just like Prometheus, is famous for being rebellious and defiant: it corresponds to the radical affirmation of human freedom. It is the governor of Lighting and Thunderstorms, of electricity, and unpredictable events. This planet demands independence and it’s ready to fight for it. Uranus is the force that encourages us to rebel and to break free from constrictions.

Uranus Retrograde

Uranus wants to liberate us from our conditioning and our limitations, from feelings of stagnation, from a routine that doesn’t inspire us anymore, from meaningless formalities and social conventions, from outdated rules and regulations.

Uranus: Disruptive and Unconventional

Uranus has an orbit of 84 years and, from our perspective, it is in apparent backward motion for about six months each year. Its discovery happened by accident in 1781, at the time of the American and French revolution. The astronomer who first observed it thought Uranus was a comet and not a planet, because of its unconventional orbit.

Uranus was the first planet identified with a telescope and became immediately a symbol of sudden change, unpredictability, and disruption. Its discovery was indeed a disruptive event in the scientific community: it inspired astronomers to question everything they knew, and it forever expanded our perception of the solar system. Suddenly, humanity was wondering if there was more that they didn’t know yet: new and unexpected perspectives immediately opened up. This is exactly what Uranus is about.

Uranus correlates to those groundbreaking scientific discoveries that permanently transform our individual and collective lives, such as electricity, computers, and the internet. Uranus corresponds to sudden technological advancement, innovative ideas, aha moments, and unexpected downloads that bring clarity and open new paths and possibilities.

Entering the Transpersonal Realms

Uranus, the modern ruler of Aquarius, is considered the first transpersonal or outer planet. Before its discovery, the traditional ruler of Aquarius was Saturn. Transpersonal planets are Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto: since they move very slowly, they correlate to the specific purpose and traits of a whole generation, their transits dictate the pace of our collective evolution.

Saturn is the last planet we can see with the naked eye: for this reason, it corresponds to the boundary of our consciousness. With Uranus, we enter the unconscious realms of the psyche.

Uranus Retrograde

In Astrology, Uranus is associated with our individual unconscious as well as with our collective memory field, also known as the Akashic Records, which contains all the events, thoughts, conversations that ever took place.

Uranus in Taurus: Finding a New Sense of Security

Taurus is a Fixed Earth sign correlated with the relationship we have with ourselves and our bodies, with our values, needs, and resources, as well as with our survival instinct.

The seven years transit of Uranus through the sign of the Bull brings up the necessity to redefine all these factors, to create a different set of values, and to find a new sense of security. We embarked on this journey in 2018, and Uranus will not enter Gemini until 2026.

We have already been facing unexpected challenges to our survival that have shaken up our value system, the way we relate with ourselves, and what we perceive as our basic needs. During the next few years, we will go deeper into this process.

Uranus relates to sudden disruptions and change. This planet opens up the realms of the unknown, which includes infinite potential and possibilities: for some of us confronting total uncertainty is a scary process, for others an exciting journey

The transit of Uranus through Taurus is inspiring us to discover new ways of making a living, to experiment with alternative ways to organize the food system, to build houses, to interact with Nature. Only one thing is certain: we will discover resources we didn’t know we possessed.

Uranus Retrograde: Inner Self Discovery & Individuation

Uranus is going to be retrograde from August 15, 2020, until January 14, 2021. Until that time, the Great Awakener will inspire an ongoing inner questioning of ourselves, our choices, and our life path.

This retrograde transit invites deep self-analysis and self-inquiry. Uranus is the planet related to what Carl Jung called the individuation process or the path to wholeness, which consists of the integration of the conscious and unconscious parts of our personality.

During the next six months, we will be encouraged to identify our conditioning, and to become aware of those assumptions and beliefs that don’t serve us anymore. The goal of this process is becoming able to make choices and take action without unwanted influences of the past.

Uranus retrograde invites us on a journey of developing our intellectual authority and deconditioning from the beliefs we inherited. This transit inspires us to detach from our past and to see events under a different light. Uranus encourages us to let go of the story of what happened to us so that it stops affecting our experience of the present moment.

Ultimately, the transit of Uranus retrograde through Taurus reminds us that when each of us does their inner work, it inevitably affects the collective and changes the vibration of the whole Earth: it all starts within.
