From Libra to Scorpio season: Confronting our Limitations

 

Wherever the Sun transits, our conscious awareness goes: Libra season brought the spotlight on the value of relationships and the journey of learning about ourselves through the mirror of others. This time of the year highlighted our search for harmony and peace and offered us an opportunity to notice imbalances in our lives and relationships.

During Libra season 2024, we experienced significant transformations: a Solar Eclipse in the sign of the Scales and a powerful Full Moon in Aries invited a drastic renewal of our relationships and encouraged us to let go of or transform  those connections that are no longer in alignment or supporting our growth.

The beginning of Scorpio season, together with Mercury’s current transit through the sign, inspires us to deepen our introspection, reflect on the journey we have been through during the recent Eclipse season, and integrate the shifts that took place both inwardly and outwardly.

Scorpio season brings our attention to the process of deepening relationships and establishing more profound connections with others through shared vulnerability and emotional intimacy. A Fixed, Yin, and Water sign, Scorpio teaches us to go beyond superficial relating and connect on a deeper level. Trust becomes a central issue during this season, which will offer us opportunities to refine our ability to trust ourselves and discern when it is appropriate to trust another.

 

Scorpio season: Attuning to Life Cycles

 

The Sun’s ingress into Scorpio reminds us that everything is constantly transforming, everything is evolving, and everything is decaying, slowly decomposing. As Fall sets the stage for Winter in the Northern hemisphere of the globe, Scorpio season brings our attention to the fact that everything is constantly transforming, and emphasizes the importance of being attuned to life cycles, to the neverending dance between birth, death, rebirth, and everything in between.

As leaves keep falling from trees and nature prepares to enter its yearly state of hibernation, the invitation for us is to slow down the pace of our outer lives and prioritize tending to our inner lives to deepen our emotional and psychological self-awareness. This time of the year is an opportunity to bring light in the darkness and bring our attention to those corners of our psyche we typically avoid looking at. Scorpio season challenges us to evolve and grow by confronting our limitations, fears, and any conscious or unconscious resistance to change and letting go.

Scorpio Season 2024: Upcoming Lunations

 

During Scorpio season 2024, we are going to experience a New Moon in Scorpio and a Full Moon in Taurus. The New Moon in Scorpio, coming up on November 1, is the first New Moon that isn’t an Eclipse since Eclipse season began and,for this reason, we can say that it closes the Eclipse portal.

The Scorpio New Moon will begin a lunar cycle focused on personal transformation, deepening our understanding of our psychology, and discovering the deepest desires and needs that determine our choices, behaviors, and cravings. This event will remind us of the inevitability of change and invite us to renew our relationship with impermanence. The Sun and the Moon in Scorpio will trine retrograde Saturn in Pisces, an aspect that supports our capacity to navigate complex emotional experiences with maturity and inspires us to make choices that align with our integrity and long-term vision.

The Full Moon in Taurus occurs on November 15. This event encourages us to let go of outdated values and beliefs about stability and security. The Moon will be tightly conjunct with Uranus, sextile Neptune, and trine Pluto: this configuration signals a quickening of the pace of events and a heightened evolutionary pressure. During this period, there will be a strong desire for freedom and a push to break free from constraints, injustices, and outdated structures. Many of us will experience breakthroughs and unexpected changes around this time.

 

Scorpio season 2024: Intensity and Transformation

 

This time of the year reminds us that life and death are one and the same, that endings and beginnings contain one another, and that creation implies destruction and destruction too can be a creative act.  During this season, we will have opportunities to access the courage to confront our resistance to change and let go of what needs to go, inspiring others to evolve through our example.

This is a time to become aware of our subconscious needs, desires, and intentions, and ask ourselves why we tend to end up in repetitive cycles and periodically play out the same patterns. It is a time to ask ourselves what power is and what power is not, what kind of power we are truly after, and what we are truly motivated by.

Scorpio season inspires us to discover avenues for creativity and self-expression that promote transformation on an emotional level, allow us to alchemize and transmute complex emotional states, and help us explore our inner landscape in a new way. During the upcoming weeks, we are encouraged to embrace the full range of emotions and welcome the intensity, the messy, and the raw, as only by learning to be fully present with discomfort can true transformation take place.
