The New Moon in Taurus is occurring on April 22nd at 10:26pm EST. If you haven’t already, we invite you to read our previous ‘Taurus Season’ article. It’s powerful! (Tap here to read)

At the beginning of this month, we experienced the opening of the 444 portal on April 4th, 2020 (4/4/2+0+2+0). This portal reopened on April 13th, 2020 (4/1+3/2+0+2+0), and now the 444 portal opens for a 3rd time this month on 4/22/2020 (4/2+2/2+0+2+0). You can find articles we published on both portals and learn more on our website.

There is something very significant about the timing of this 3rd and final 444 portal, and it’s that this portal opens alongside the arrival of the New Moon; a powerful symbol of new beginnings.

4/4/4 vibrates on an extremely high frequency that is synonymous with breakthroughs and answered prayers. This energy portal opened at the beginning of this month and has been building up ever since. Have you had a subtle realizations or changes in perspective? Is your vision for your next steps forward becoming clearer? What major shifts have been occurring for you this month?

With the New Moon arriving in the patient and reliable sign of Taurus, it appears that this 444 portal’s intention isn’t to come and go with an abrupt bang. Rather, this portal’s intention has been to guide us through the shifts and pivots taking place along our life paths. The Taurus energy that surrounds this Portal and New Moon is nudging us to be patient as the seeds we have sown prosper in the harvest season to come.

On 4/22/2020 we will experience the finale of this 444 Portal, and we recommend (re)setting intentions in your journal, finding an outlet for creative expression, and taking this time to meditate, reflect, and observe. Remember: “The day you plant the seed is not the day you eat the fruit.”

New Moon in Taurus: Welcoming Shifts

We are living through epic shifts of consciousness. Life as we know it is transforming. Change can be scary and there’s no doubt we will all be feeling a certain level of vulnerability at this time.

The New Moon in Taurus is welcoming these shifts; they are crucial and fundamental for the Planet to regenerate and sustain herself.

We are being asked to imagine and dream. We are being asked to tune within and envision what is possible not only for ourselves but for the collective. These monumental shifts of energy are playing out within each of us.

We are all a piece of this mosaic and there’s a beauty to each of us. This New Moon in Taurus is inviting us to appreciate ourselves as individual pieces of glass, while also appreciating the stained glass window as a whole.

New Moon in Taurus: Setting Our Sails

The New Moon in Taurus occurs when the Sun and the Moon come together in the sign of Taurus. The Moon represents our feelings, emotions or subconscious whereas the sun brings in the energy of our conscious awareness and focus. We are the ships setting our sails and the wind is right there willing to take us on our journey.

Setting the sails is our responsibility. It’s our job to set up the boat in order for the force of nature to give us the wind. We are part of a dance of creation between our individual choices and a natural force of life we cannot control.

In a sense, it’s like our breath. When we are well and healthy, our breath is an automatic function. If we’ve ever paused for a moment to really feel the sensation of our breath we know the peace and serenity that it can bring. This is an example of aligning our conscious awareness with the subconscious force of life.

Take Time to Notice

The New Moon in Taurus is a time to stop and notice the breath. Take time to notice that as humans, we are a sweet spot between Heaven and Earth. We have physical bodies that ground us here on Earth, and we have a spirit that moves through us. This is a big deal. This is powerful.

We Are the Seeds

Let’s imagine that Earth is a garden and each person is a seed. We are born into this garden and we grow in all sorts of ways. Some of us will become trees, and remain on a steady track for the entirety of our lives.

While others perhaps are dandelions that recycle and regrow each season. Maybe we are a rose that blossoms brilliantly and then takes time to gently fall away. We are all unique plants in this garden of Gaia.

Coming Back to Gaia

“In Greek mythology, Gaia, is the personification of the Earth and one of the Greek primordial deities. Gaia is the ancestral mother of all life: the primal Mother Earth goddess.” (wikipedia)

The New Moon in Taurus is inviting us to come back to Gaia. To focus on our choices and ask ourselves if they are nourishing our primal Mother Earth Goddess. Even though the Earth may appear to be outside of us, what if she’s an extension of ourselves?

For example, we know that a plant will be impacted by the soil it grows from. If we are the plants, growing in the garden that is Gaia, then her health affects us. How we treat the planet, or where we turn a blind eye to what is occurring, affects our health and capacity to grow.

If we see ourselves as plants, and Earth as our garden, we now need to ask ourselves some honest questions. What is in the soil? Are we making choices that allow the dirt to be a nourishing home for us? Are we grounded and connected to the Earth or are we disconnected and distant?

Of course, there is no need to shame or blame ourselves here. We have to know better before we can do better. Knowing better is a process and may we each be compassionate with ourselves and others as we explore these questions.

New Moon in Taurus: Simple Self Care

For this garden to thrive, we have to look at how we are treating ourselves, the plants. If the soil is healthy but we neglect to water the plants then there’s no way they will grow or flourish.

This New Moon in Taurus is asking us to become hyper aware of the simpler things in life. Are we taking care of ourselves? Are we taking care of our home, the Earth? Let’s look over the astrological cycles that have occurred in the sign of Taurus to get a better idea of where we are at.

Uranus in Taurus + History

Let’s first start in 1857 when, similar to today, humanity was facing a downturn of the economy. During this time Uranus was in Taurus, which is currently occurring from 2018-2026.

“The Panic of 1857 was a sudden downturn in the economy of the United States that occurred in 1857. While the overall economic downturn was brief, the recovery was unequal, and the lasting impact was more political than economic. The panic began with a loss of confidence in an Ohio bank and fears that the US Federal Government would be unable to pay obligations was accompanied by protest meetings in urban areas. “ (Source)

Let’s not allow history to scare us because there are many astrological aspects in 2020 (for example Jupiter-Pluto Conjunction) that make our current energetic climate very different from that of 1857. However, we can see that the crash of 1857 left a political impact. We can also observe that the panic occurred due to a loss of confidence in the banking and government systems.

Today, we can see that the systems which govern the world are in need of revamping. We can see the inequality and the call for the public to reorganize. In the mid 1930’s, while Uranus was once again in Taurus, we can see the roots of privatization.

“Privatization” was coined in English descriptions of the German experience in the mid-1930s. In the early twentieth century, many European economies featured state ownership of vital sectors. “German privatization of the 1930s was intended to benefit the wealthiest sectors and enhance the economic position and political support of the elite.” (Source)

Again, we are not sharing this to suggest that history will repeat itself. Instead, we look back over these astrological cycles to better understand. From that place of awareness we break the cycles from repeating.

When the power of the people align with the power of the planet we will see healthy soil and thriving fruit

Looking back over history, we see that certain unnatural forces, such as the economy or governing regulations, have led to enhancing the wealth of the elite. Instead of sharing nature’s abundance with the people. As we begin to know better, we can do better. Looking back helps us to move forward.

New Moon in Taurus Conjunct Uranus

Uranus has returned to Taurus from 2018 until 2026. The New Moon is conjunct Uranus. Uranus is a mover and a shaker; it’s here to stir it up and make waves. In the sign of Taurus this has everything to do with our connection to the Earth’s abundance.

yes

We are living in a reality that has been built on disconnecting us from what’s real, and instead sells us on false ideas. We are told that we are our weight, our bank account balance or our number of followers. We learn to cultivate our self perceptions based on external validation. However, a flower doesn’t look to other flowers for feedback. A tree doesn’t need external validation to keep reaching for the sky. We are each like these plants.

It’s time for us to reclaim our humanity and rebuild our garden

Now is the time to get our hands in the dirt. To nourish our soil and to water our plants. Now is the time to make small but powerful choices. Choices that connect us to what is really real, not the ideas and illusions of society and control.

Uranus is a rebel. This rebellion does not have to be violent or dangerous, in fact it’s actually about reclaiming the beauty and harmony that Earth so brilliantly demonstrates.

This New Moon in Taurus is asking us to embrace radical simplicity

What does that mean? It means getting back to the simple things in life. In a world that is complicated and full of illusions; confusion is normal. When we are confused we can feel lost and not know where to turn. When we feel lost we are apt to following the lead of another.

The New Moon in Taurus wants us to be our own leaders

To let our hearts and souls guide the way. If complexity creates confusion that derails our wills; then simplicity can bring them back on track. Radical simplicity looks like anything that invites us to stop and reclaim our sovereignty. It’s about choosing to go our own way instead of letting the Shepherd herd us.

sovereign

Planting a garden. Turning off our phones. Thinking beyond the narratives of mainstream media. Questioning something that feels “off”. Smiling at your neighbour. Finding comfort in the 5 senses while knowing there is more to life than physical reality. Meditating. Drinking a glass of water in gratitude.

These seemingly small choices not only grant us some peace, they are also a way of taking back our power and choosing to write our own stories.

Through these acts of radical simplicity we can come back to the power of the planet. From this place of potential we can set our sails, anticipating the force of nature will support us on this new leg of our journeys.
