Once every 28 days, the Sun and the Moon align on the same degree of the same Zodiac sign, forming a 0º angle technically known as conjunction. The Moon is still invisible from our perspective at this time: in darkness, we have an opportunity to turn inward, connect with ourselves, and get clear about our intentions before we begin to move forward again. During the next two weeks, as the Moon receives more and more sunlight, we are invited to take action on our intentions: until the Full Moon occurs, the momentum and the energy increase.

New Moons mark the start of the lunar month and offer us an opportunity to align with the frequencies of renewal and rebirth. These events invite us to plant seeds for the future and get clear about the direction we are moving toward. This month, the Sun and the Moon meet in Pisces, the last sign of the Zodiac, inaugurating a lunar cycle focused on renewing our relationship with the unseen, the intangible, and the mystery.

Connected with our time in the womb, the amniotic fluid, and all kinds of in-between spaces, Pisces is where everything ends and begins, a liminal place where past, present, and future seem to blend into one. When this archetype is as prominent as it is now, we are traversing a period of liminality and transition: both endings and beginnings are happening simultaneously, intertwining, and the boundaries between what was, what is, and what will be dissolve into something unclear and undefined. We arrived at a threshold: this is a moment of deep surrender, where clarity and direction can’t come from logic but must be born from an inner knowing.

This Pisces New Moon is a particularly significant one since it opens the Eclipse portal: despite not being an Eclipse, it starts the lunar cycle that peaks in two weeks with a Lunar Eclipse in Virgo. We are entering the most transformative, unpredictable, and mystical time of the year, a time filled with breakthroughs and shifts of fate, a time of fast change and new doors appearing unexpectedly. The square to Jupiter can help us gain awareness of where we may be overextending ourselves or scattering our energy. This aspect highlights our desire to make sense of and understand the meaning and purpose of what is happening, yet it can also intensify feelings of restlessness, overstimulation, or mental overwhelm. Jupiter in Gemini loves gathering information, seeking different perspectives, and exploring multiple possibilities: however, this square reminds us that too much input can increase our confusion rather than facilitate clarity. 

Around this time, we may feel pulled in many directions at once, questioning which path to take: we may find it challenging to trust our inner knowing and follow our intuition when so much noise, distractions, and stimuli constantly surround us. This square asks us to learn to discern when it is appropriate to ask for advice or seek more information and when instead we should stop searching for answers externally and practice sitting with uncertainty and discomfort.

The Water trine between the Sun and the Moon in Pisces and Mars in Cancer facilitates a shift in our relationship to our emotions and emotional expression and infuses the upcoming lunar month with more dynamism and drive.

This aspect supports our ability to act in alignment with our emotions and needs and make intuitive, heart-centered decisions. The harmonious connection between the New Moon and Mars enhances our ability to assert ourselves with sensitivity, navigate challenges with determination, and trust our intuition as a primary guidance system.

Mars in Cancer acts with caution and care: with Mars here, the tendency is to prioritize emotional security and protect our vulnerability and sensitivity. The Neptune-North Node conjunction and the Stellium in Pisces

As the New Moon in Pisces takes place, Neptune, the modern ruler of the sign, is still conjunct with the Lunar North Node in the late degrees of Pisces. Saturn and Mercury are a few degrees before them, also in Pisces but technically not conjunct the Sun and the Moon. With five celestial bodies and the North Node in the sign, the veil between worlds is thinner these days: signs from the Universe can appear in unexpected places, defying any logic or rational explanation.

Synchronicities are more frequent, and our dreams may be prophetic, more vivid, and filled with clear symbolism and messages. In this space, time can feel stretched, reality becomes more porous, and intuition has to take the lead. The urge for control and the desire to hold on to what is familiar might arise, yet Pisces teaches us that true wisdom lies in letting something go at the right time.

For the past weeks, Neptune’s conjunction with the North Node has been calling us to surrender to the flow and allow ourselves to be divinely guided. This alignment has been dissolving any lingering illusion and inviting us to close cycles, let go of old narratives, and release our attachment to past identities and ways of being. 

The stellium in Pisces is blurring the boundaries between us and others and increasing our sensitivity to energy, emotions, and everything that happens around us and on the world stage. This period may feel surreal, as if we were floating between timelines and stepping into a new dream space, where known rules no longer apply. This is a time of recalibration, of reorientation, of reconnection with what is True in an absolute sense.
